The Objective
As Chicago is poised to lead the nation in quantum tech, The Qampus Clubs together with the ULCC Tech Group will host a series of events on the subject to help its constituents best understand how this groundbreaking technology is shaping the future of the region and beyond.
The Speaker
This meeting will feature Dr. Aaron Fluitt, Senior Director of Technology Partnerships at PsiQuantum, where he leads collaboration efforts with the Chicago region’s world-class quantum technology ecosystem.
Prior to joining PsiQuantum, Dr. Fluitt built research programs at Argonne National Laboratory, advised executive clients at the Boston Consulting Group, and earned his Ph.D. as one of the first students in molecular engineering at the University of Chicago.
Since its founding a decade ago, PsiQuantum has been singularly focused on building and deploying the world’s first useful quantum computer—at scale and with urgency. Within the next few years, the company plans to construct America’s first such machine at the Illinois Quantum and Microelectronics Park in South Chicago.
In this talk, Dr. Fluitt will outline the core pillars of PsiQuantum’s technology that make this goal achievable, highlight progress toward high-impact commercial and scientific applications, and discuss the company’s ongoing engagement in the Chicago region.
